We’re new to the neighborhood, and we come bearing gifts! We’ll open our new store in Charlottesville, VA with a Grand Opening Bash on April 26, 2013 from 6pm-9pm. The store will be located in Barracks Road Shopping Center, less than a mile from the University of Virginia campus.
At the Grand Opening Bash, PeachMac will give away a MacBook Pro, two iPod touches, and five Apple TVs. Hundreds of other prizes will also be given away including over a hundred $20 PeachMac gift cards, headphones, chargers, bags and more. The first 200 guests will receive a free t-shirt as well.

All PeachMac stores will open at 6 am Friday.
We have watched in horror as more and more national retailers insist on turning Black Friday into a Thanksgiving sales event. We, like many other retailers, are closed only three days a year and Thanksgiving happens to be one of them. We truly believe that our employees should be able to spend the holiday with their families and not have to interrupt that holiday in order to come to work. Yes, they will have to get up very early on Friday morning, but still, it’s Friday, not Thursday.
We have no idea where this trend will end. It seems that each year some retailers open earlier and earlier in order to beat the competition. We assume that by next year some stores will be opening at noon on Thursday.
PeachMac has decided to stay out of this insanity and will open all of its stores at 6 am Friday. Despite the fact that two of the centers in which we have stores will be open for shopping at midnight, we will choose to wait until our 6 am opening time.
For those of you who like shopping at midnight on Thanksgiving, I am sorry we will not be there to serve you. However, we do have some spectacular deals starting at 6 am and we hope that you are able to join us then.

Apple has an incredible system in place that allows you to make fantastic, personalized keepsakes for your friends and family. You can make books, cards, and even calendars out of your photos! Year after year they update their offerings, adding things like extra themes, or their wonderful letterpress style cards. Join us this season, where we’ll be taking a look at creating beautiful books and calendars in iPhoto, and the updated Cards app for iOS!
